Our purpose is to block construction of the West Roxbury Lateral Pipeline through organizing community members to:1) pressure elected officials to continue their efforts to block the project in the courts 2) build coalitions among residents who oppose the pipeline for a variety of different reasons (including public health and safety, climate change, property rights, and anti-corporate motivations)3) demonstrate mass opposition publicly in ways that are educational and invitational for community members who are not yet engaged in resistance4) support leadership development and skill-sharing among members in order both to grow the number of residents actively engaged in collaborative leadership and to keep our large volunteer base engaged in meaningful action.
