Our Purpose

to relieve hunger and to reduce waste of our food resources. To educate and engage youth and other community members in serving others and supporting healthy, local food.

Summary of Projects

The group received a small grant in 2008 to promote a fresh food recovery Helping Harvest by rescuing good quality produce from being wasted at local farms and providing the hungry with the opportunity to eat healthy food. Also to empower local youth to perform a good deed and learn about making sustainable and healthy food choices wit the hope that they will incorporate these values in their lives as adults.
