The purpose of PT Partners is to move forward a resident-owned initiative of self-determination.  Residents of a 360-unit low-income public housing (LIPH) apartment in Bridgeport CT work to organize within their community to address systemic issues of oppression, which include environmental racism, poor education systems and structures, an unresponsive housing authority, and community disunity.  Residents, staff, and community partners work towards community re-creation as a means to exercise their power to change the conditions that serve to marginalize their existence.  To this end, residents are conceptualizing events, resources, and political/civic actions to change the quality of their lives in LIPH.
