The mission of Plum Island Outdoors is to educate the public about the effect of climate change on Plum Island including beach erosion.  Plum Island Outdoors also educates the public about eco-friendly outdoor activities.This project specifically provides everyone, especially BIPOC, in the Greater Newburyport Area a holistic outdoor experience by providing aspects of responsible recreation: keeping yourself, others, and outdoor places safe; accessing outdoor benefits essential to the human experience; and building an outdoors for all.
