Our purpose is to produce:

• Weekly articles about Plum Island for the Newburyport Daily News
• Yearly books about Plum Island
• Periodic photography exhibits
• Build membership base, increasing our education reach
• Increase Website content
• Long Term: Museum on Plum Island History concentration on pre-Refuge History, Coast Guard, and Erosion control efforts.

The focus of the Plum Island Outdoors productions is educating the public about the effect of climate change on Plum Island including beach erosion.  Climate Change is occurring so Plum Island Outdoors is evaluating ways to make Plum Island more resilient to the effects of Climate Change.  Plum Island Outdoors also educates the public about eco-friendly outdoor activities.  An important goal of Plum Island Outdoors is promoting renewable energy combining wind and solar power.
