The mission of the Sipayik Resilience Committee (SRC) is to foster climate resilience and make energy efficiency technology more accessible to members of the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point following community directed goals. The SRC was formed as a result of a 2022 Community Action Grant following the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point being enrolled in the State of Maine's Community Resilience Partnership. A community resilience meeting was held in August 2022 where citizens of the Passamaquoddy Tribe voted on various resilience actions from the State of Maine's action item list. The SRC was formed in order to build capacity for Pleasant Point.
