Our purpose is to...educate our community about preserving our rural heritage, strengthening sustainable and resiliant homes and developing a strong economic base in the modern world while enjoying the best of our land and cultural legacy.We are working on new mission and by laws now - but basically we are a positive oriented (no protest marches) group that encourages community meetings to learn about edible landscaping, our food supply, land use (especially in regards to keeping our rural heritage and balancing jobs and homes).   We have done many things over the years -  from energy conservation to planting Elms back on Elm Street.    We are now in our second year of a Garden Contest.
