The mission of the Phippsburg Community Garden is to provide a sustainable, positive, and healthy space for individuals and groups to grow food for themselves and the community. We promote the preservation of natural resources and collaborative food and gardening education. Established on municipal land in 2019, our overarching goal is to build local food resilience, cultivate intergenerational community connections, and protect our coastal natural ecosystem. Through our shared plot layouts and our volunteer-driven 'Sharing Table' initiative, we work to dismantle local food insecurity by ensuring all neighborhood families have direct, dignified access to fresh, nutrient-dense, locally produced food.
