The Penniman Road Community Garden carries on its founding mission to amplify the diversity of the neighborhood and enrich community through urban gardening. The community identifies an emergent, equally important, and complex goal: improved outcomes for  growers by safeguarding a locally grown, reliable food supply. The group sees a need to connect with community partners and the City of Boston beyond the gates of the garden. We are like-minded in our collective interest to maintain the garden despite Allston’s rapid urban development and densification. We wish to lift up our neighbors and shine a light on the relevance of urban gardens.
