Oso:ah Foundation

Our Purpose

Oso:ah Foundation - A Tree Planted in the Name of Peace, speaks from the Six Nations wisdom and recalls the White Pine, symbol of the Great Law of Peace (Gayanas'hagowa).  Oso:ah Foundation is a small group that works on one project at a time. In 2008, we began an archive of personal histories of aged resident farmers in the 'Pioneer Valley' and produced a website to promote historic preservation called Pioneer Valley Harvest.  In 2011, we began a photo archive of all species on Kunn'ckquatchu, Mt. Toby Massif, a traditionally sacred mountain and the most biodiverse land in Massachusetts.  We produced a video called "Mishalisk: Mother of the Valley"  (on YouTube).  In 2014, we began an archive of hundreds of sacred stone prayer sites in Franklin County and subsequently published a series of articles in science journals and books on the subject.Since 2017, Bridgein-the-Sky Medicine Circle shares immersion in Northeastern Native American land wisdom and lifeways. We offer the traditional wisdom of stewardship, reciprocity, harmony, and spiritual justice. Our medicine walks and gatherings speak to spiritual, ecological, historical, cultural and medicinal  intimate life with Our Mother and kindred Spirits.  Our Elders hail from several regional nations - and our gatherings include diverse allies.  We offer intimate journey into the land.
