Osamequin Farm Inc
Our Purpose
Osamequin Farm is a working farm with deep roots in the community and an abundance of fresh energy since its renaissance as a non-profit in 2018! Our work focuses on the intersection of community, conservation, and agriculture. We are anchored by our Pick Your Own blueberry operation, which has been a staple of the community since the 1980s, as well as our Certified Naturally Grown cut flower field and a no-till vegetable garden stewarded by our teen internship program. We host seasonal and educational events for all ages throughout the year, everything from foraged wreath making and maple syrup boiling in the fall to natural dyeing and gardening classes in the summer. Our educational programming centers around conservation and responsible land stewardship. We also share the land with six other small farms, who share resources and infrastructure cooperatively through our Resident Farmer program. Our project is housed on 400+ acre historic & conserved farmland, which we recognize is an incredible privilege. The non-profit leases access to the farm from the family in ownership, and we take our responsibility to both steward and expand access to the space very seriously. Thanks to our close proximity to Providence, we are able to share opportunities to grow, create, explore, and engage with the land with our extended community and urban based organizations.
