Orchard Valley Waldorf School provides environmentally-based education for about 188 students up to grade 8. A land management group has been working to enhance all aspects of gardening and related environmental education into the curriculum since 2005, shortly after the school was established at its present location. This current group is working to support teachers with enhanced garden curriculum, to develop and expand practical use and understanding of compost, and to integrate farm, garden, and food curriculum with community education and outreach to families and the greater central Vermont community.
