Through public programs, protests, civil resistance, dialogue, walks and more, we seek to raise public awareness and create the political will to end the nuclear era. Our vision is to create a renewable energy future. Our Coalition consists of 9 groups: American Friends Service Committee. New England Peace Pagoda, Arise for Social Justice. Citizens Awareness Network, Grace Church Episcopal Peace Fellowship, Haydenville Congregational church Peace and Justice Steering Committee, Northampton Committee to Stop the War, Physicians for Social Responsibility, Ma.. We work with interns, volunteers and local radio and cable networks to keep people informed about what is going on with Vermont Yankee. Most of our members are within 50 miles of Vermont Yankee, which we consider to be the evacuation zone. We also work with Connecticut River Watershed Council regarding the Connecticut River.
