Our Purpose

Our purpose is to educate Nottingham residents about the Nottingham Water Rights and Local Self-Government Ordinance passed in 2008 to protect the health, safety, and welfare of local ecosystems and aquifers by prohibiting the extraction of water for resale outside the town and to upgrade the Ordinance to meet on-going threats to the community's environment including fracking, sludge dumping, etc.  The organization shall also monitor current and future property sales that have the potential to negatively impact the health, safety and welfare of the community and would be in violation of our current and proposed ordinances. Residents will be kept informed of all pertinent information on an on-going basis.
