Northeast Community Services believes in the regional approach to tackling social issues and building relationships amongst the communities, showing that whether you are in Bangor, Maine or Fall River, MA, you are part of our community. Although Northeast Community Services only operates in Massachusetts and Maine, the goal is to replicate our programs in the other Northeast states in the upcoming years. Northeast Community Services believes that to effectively help individuals in need, there needs to be a plan to attack several social issues concurrently. If individuals can have a good paying job, good nutrition, and a safe green space, they will be much more likely to succeed and thrive. That’s why we plan on offering programs for: food production and distribution; homeless/low income assistance; environmental sustainability and cleansing; and programs that address criminal justice and substance abuse issues.Our officers/directors have lived the entirety of their lives in the Northeast and have a passion for assisting low income individuals and the environment. Our organization does not have paid employees, and runs entirely on donations. We volunteer because we care about our communities and want to see the less fortunate be able to enjoy their lives and cut down on stresses.
