NSCCE received a grant in 2011 to pay for a hydrologist to review a 292 page landfill closure plan. The group will also consider alternative remediess for closure and how the closed landfill site could be used in the future.

to ensure clean safe drinking water for all in our community; to remediate the sources of neighborhood contamination; to close the Scofieldtown Landfill in North Stamford, CT, to modern environmental standards.
Summary of Projects
The group received a grant in 2010 to ensure that the City of Stamford conducts a proper, professional investigation of the extent of contamination of area drinking wells.
