The purpose of the group is to design, launch and implement NH Solar Shares, a new program that will share the gift of locally generated clean solar energy with the grid, the planet and local NH families needing assistance with their electric bills. The program will build mid-size solar PV arrays in an environmentally responsible manner with charitable funds where the value of the solar energy will be credited to low income (LI) families' electric bills (primarily in the town of the array). The families will sign up voluntarily and will also take part in an energy education program that will potentially further lower their utility costs.
