The Newport Conservation Commission's mission is to protect the natural resources within the community of Newport, New Hampshire. This is accomplished through a combination of public outreach and education, advising local land use boards (Selectboard, planning and zoning), outright ownership of land for conservation and conservation easements and management of exisiting conservation lands in the community.
