Summary of Projects

New Boston Energy Commission received a grant in 2010 to conduct a "The Local Return of Revenue from Recycling" campaign, a town initiative to increase the community's recycling rate above its current 40%. The campaign will turn a 20 foot box truck into the Town's RecycleMobile to collect recyclables at the numerous public events - from the Hillsboro County Fair to the weekly Farmer's Market. The truck will not only be the repository for the materials, but the signage on the outside will be both a community challenge and an educational tool promoting greater recycling.
