Our purpose is to stop or make significant changes to the proposed New 7 mile overhead transmission line going through Durham and Little Bay.We want to protect our natural resources, historic sites, scenic roads, wooded areas and neighborhoods from a project that does more harm than good to the community and environment.Our group was formed to inform the public of the significant impacts to our community, challenge the need for the project( since NH does not benefit from the power), promote alternative energy initiatives and gain control over who has the power to decide what happens in our local communities. We, who live in our communities today, must be the ones who make the decisions about how we're going to fulfill our future energy needs and what we are willing and not willing to sacrifice in order to do so.
