Our big picture goal is to make natural burial a real, accessible option for ordinary Granite State families, not simply an aspirational idea that only exists on paper or in other states. We are building a statewide hub that partners with towns, independent cemeteries, and land trusts so they can better understand natural burial and adjust rules and practices where needed so that simple, affordable options that honor both the land and human life are available to allof us. Over time, that means more people can be laid to rest close to home in ways that keep costs manageable, reduce environmental harm, and give communities more direct control over what end-of-life choices exist in their own backyards. In addition to direct support to independent nonprofit cemeteries, we also provide extensive education to folks who are interested in organizing in their own communities.
