The purpose of Natick Goes Green is to encourage local businesses to reduce their environmental impact and improve their sustainability performance. We do this by helping businesses identify opportunities for improvement and by recognizing businesses that adopt sustainable practices - such as recycling, energy-efficient lighting and carpool options - through a tiered certification program.Our certification program has three tiers or levels, with each level indicating the strength of a business’ sustainability efforts. The goal of the level system is to encourage businesses to continuously improve their performance and become more sustainable. We recognize and promote certified businesses based on their level through social and traditional media. Participants are also connected to a variety of resources, including our Town’s sustainability coordinator, to help them improve the efficiency of their buildings, save money and provide a healthy and quality work space for employees.
