Our purpose is to educate and build skills within the broader Muslim Communities of Connecticut and Massachusetts about a wide range of environmental issues which include, conservation, preservation, and lifestyle changes that will have a positive impact on the environment. We do this by offering training and programming for families enrolled formally in Girl Scouts of Connecticut and Scouting America programs who identify with the Islamic Faith. This unique population requires very culturally sensitive programming and needs in order to carry out our vision and mission. We provide important educational and hands on opportunities to connect with nature, learn about zero waste, limit waste, and other environmental values that are in alignment with traditional faith based teachings and traditions.
