Our Purpose

The Monadnock Sustainability Hub (MSH) strengthens the sustainability and resilience of our region by working collaboratively to reach 100% clean energy. We are committed to assisting the Monadnock region's transition from fossil fuels to clean energy sources and electric transportation via a variety of programs, including: electric vehicle promotion and EVSE infrastructure development, Community Supported Solar projects, Solarize campaigns, Community Power, and climate change awareness and education programs. We partner with all community sectors to inspire and conduct local sustainability initiatives and actions that strengthen our shared social, economic, and environmental foundation. Our History: In January 2008, a group of green-minded Monadnock residents formed the Monadnock Sustainability Network (MSN).  Later in 2009, MSN merged with the Monadnock Institute for Community Advancement and Sustainability (MICAS), a nonprofit organization that conducted sustainability forums and programs on topics from agriculture to energy. In January 2018, the Monadnock Energy Hub (MEH) was formed by a group of regional climate advocates who focused on focus on reducing greenhouse gasses in our region. In 2020, MSN and MEH merged to form the Monadnock Sustainability Hub.
