Agricultural education is at the heart of our club's endeavors. The goal of the Modern Agriculture Club is to introduce the value of sustainable food practices and the importance of locally sourced food to the greater Wallingford community. The Modern Agriculture Club, via the vertical garden project, will introduce our community to the methods to make locally sourced greens available year round to the benefits of locally sourced foods. By involving local elementary school students in school food education, specifically sustainable and locally sourced options, the Modern Agriculture Club will expand the teaching scope of the vertical garden.  By initiating field trips to our campus food garden spaces elementary students can learn about sustainability from near peers utilizing the example of the vertical gardens.
