Our Purpose

  1. Background on formation of Mixed Faces Wild Spaces
    • Mission: To empower people of intersectional experiences with the resources and community to create a sense of belonging in outdoor spaces
    • Vision: All people are empowered to feel a sense of belonging in outdoor spaces
  2. Why we want to do this work:
    • While every single being has a right to access a relationship with nature, not all of us have the ability to do so because of the compounding forces of oppression and inequality, and we seek to change that.
    • This work, and all the work we do, are rooted in our values of communal healing, stewardship, belonging, and love as the practice of freedom. These values can be explored in detail in our linktree.
