to restore and maintain the ecological integrity of the Missisquoi River system so that the uses and values desired by the community are supported by the river and quality of its water.

Summary of Projects

MRBA received a grant in 2009 to hold a water sampling program in the Missisquoi River watershed during 2010. Volunteers from within the community will be recruited to collect water samples every other week between May and October (12 occasions) at 21 sites along the Missisquoi River and its major tributaries. Samples will be tested for phospherus, nitrogen and turbidity. A public meeting will be held in Novmber to present preliminary 2010 results.

To support a portion of the Association’s 1997 watershed management program for the Missisquoi River Basin.
