In 2006 the group received a grant to strengthen and expand the group's volunteer watershed monitoring activities and conduct increased educational outreach to local town officials, residents and youth. NEGEF provided support in 2007 to continue to provide residents throughout the Millers River Watershed with volunteer water monitoring, educational outreach and occassional recreational opportunities, as well as advocacy on local issues.
