Middelbury Area Community Gardens received a grant in 2010 for some material needs (compost & cover crops) for the new location and to provide a stipend to a coordinator. The garden was forced to move the garden after Otter Creek Brewing Company was sold to Long Trail. The new owners were not interested in continuing the relationship and the group took the 2010 growing season to find a new location. Working with a supporter with connections to the hospital, a new place is now secured and the group is getting ready for the 2011 season.
