to design and promote a new multi-faceted student based learning opportunity in the area of gardening, agriculture and environmental awareness. Our newly created Messalonskee High School (MHS) student led Garden Club are interested in creating a strong and sustainable garden greenhouse program that will grow with each year and include all students from all 4 schools on the Messalonskee School Campus. Our garden will be used to educate students on the joys of growing their own food from seed to table, to host taste testings of our harvest to include familiar and non-familiar vegetable and fruit taste, to increase variety of choices in the school lunch program, to provide new recipes for the LifeSkills Class to cook in their breakfast cafe and to donate vegetables to our local food bank.
