The goal of the MMHS Environmental Club is to spread awareness of the importance of learning about, conserving and preserving our local, unique environment in order for it to be available and beautiful for future generations. We are here to raise awareness about environmental issues and to encourage students to take action to protect the environment. Our students have participated in projects that help the environment, such as refurbishging our recycling program, spearheading a tree planting program, working with the town conservaiton agents on a red cedar swamp habitat restoration initiave and beginning a school composting program. Students can learn how to reduce their environmental impact as individuals, as a school community, and as citizens of the world.
