Our purpose is to..aid those people who cannot help themselves either due to lack of language abilities, a disability, or lack of knowledge of resources and referrals that are available to them.  Many people also need the support of educational opportunities, work skills, and/or guidance on how to access and achieve the skills necessary to elevate and empower themselves.  We are a vehicle to help first with basic needs and, at the same time, assess and evaluate further needs.  We are also an avenue to better educational and workskills programs.  At the same time, we can provide workshops regarding these opportunities.  Connections is key word for our small grassroots organization.  Not only is the purpose to connect people, but also to be present whenever they may need help again in any area of their lives, such as a resource or referral base. A longitudinal relationship in regards to not just letting a person go with a referral or a resource in their hands, but a check-in and follow-up type of guidance until the person can really be independent.  This purpose is not only for individuals, but includes family members. People from all avenues of life, all cultures, and socio-economic strata would be helped.  The point is to lift up, or elevate, and empower, so that all may be positive members of the community.
