Our purpose is to assist in responding to the food-related needs of Central Vermont communities that have arisen from the COVID-19 outbreak. The basis of our work arose largely from the cancellation of Capital City Farmers' Market and closure of regular food venues through which people access high-quality, locally-produced foods. As a year-round market vendor, Mansfield Mushroom Company (MMC) produces and sells several varieties of culinary mushrooms, wild foraged foods, and will be expanding this year to sell new value-added products.The MMC Delivery Team formed in early March 2020 to maintain connections with farmers' market customers and identify new venues for their accessibility of fresh and preserved food products. We began a CSA in mid-March and anticipate growing membership throughout the spring and summer. Currently, one team member is involved in producing and procuring food items, two members in CSA membership and communication, and two members in making product deliveries directly to customers' homes.
