The mission of Mae Organization, Inc. is to address the needs of the homeless in the Greater Providence area by focusing on a Mind, Body and Spirit model which empowers and compassionately facilitates in the healing of mental health issues through expressive arts and other holistic modalities.  Mae staff and volunteers work to support and empower our homeless clients to become self-sufficient, get off the streets and secure safe and secure housing.  It is our founder’s belief that if a person is to become a functioning and successful contributing member of society, they must first be healed emotionally and physically so they can function in this ever faster- paced world and environments. To this end, MAE practices weekly street outreach, providing hot meals, toiletries, shoes, bikes, tents, to over 300 homeless and at-risk individuals on the streets of Providence. Mae has no paid staff. All staff and workers are volunteers.
