Our Purpose

Our purpose is to... eliminate plastic bags from the waste stream which is currently choking our oceans. Our current proposed fundraiser is to purchase grocery tote bages, made in our town, from recycled products manufactured in the U.S.A. to eliminate plastic bags from our waste stream cycle. We would offer these bags for a suggested "good will donation" which would cover the cost of procurring these bags and provide us funds to purchase more bags to offer for anyone for the "good will donation". The bags,  would be printed with our town recycle logo, our slogan "Grow Grange Go Green" and the statement Made from 100% post concumer recycled and cleaned PET plastic. The cost to have the first run of 100 bags would be $700.00. Our 5 year year strategic plan is to encourage every town in our state to join us in our effort to eliminate plastic bags from the waste stream which is currently choking our oceans.Shortly after brainstorming this effort; we learned that  the structural integrity of our Historic Grange Hall building @ 260 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH, 03053 is seriously compromised. With the building no longer in usable condition. The building immediately needs a new roof and septic system upgrades for viability as a user space. Our current proposed fundraiser: to purchase grocery tote bages has been forced to have a dual desired outcome. Part of the monies donated for the bags would be earmarked to cover the prohibitive costs for for the repairs.  Our Grange Hall building is centrally located @ 260 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH, 03053. We have a full kitchen and a separate women's and men's restroom. When the building in usable condition, we make it available for a nominal "good will donation". We have hosted many events in the recent past including: Boy Scout Troop 521 Charter, wedding and baby showers, wedding receptions, Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremonies, meals of repast for memorial services, craft fairs, community-minded presentations on gardening, plant sales, raffles, children's entertainment and educational programs.
