Our purpose is to start intersectional difficult conversations in our community, and have worked with other New England communities to also support and empower them to start these conversations, specifically around Social and Environmental Justice, Equity, Mental Health and Disabilities, and Abuse and Trauma. At Life in My Days, we believe that our local community work is critical, but we also recognize that even if we build our own safe spaces the greater community will continue to be a constant source of toxicity, which is why we not only work on the local level but also on the regional level. When it comes to environmental Justice specifically, we discuss environmental health, food, and climate change challenges to raise awareness about them, and connect the dots to other forms of social injustice, and using wellness as a tool for resistance. Ultimately, our goal is to build safe communities built on belonging where individuals are able to reach self-actualization. through our local work, on the ground, we reach about 500 individuals from our community and the spaces we have supported.
