to create an environment where people and organizations can access information and resources, find one another, and discover ways to work together to realize the vision for the Lakes Region Food System.The Lakes Region Food Network (LRFN) is an emerging grassroots organization concerned with food access, food security, and the food economy in New Hampshire's Lakes Region.We originally began as the Back to Farming at Laconia State School group, but have since transitioned into the Lakes Region Food Network in response to our increasing awareness of the myriad food-related issues facing us. We have been slowly expanding our network, collaborating with several community partners on projects as varied as school gardens, gleaning, and a farmers' market coupon program for WIC recipients. We share information about food system issues and seek to link up individuals and organizations in our area who have common interests and can be of assistance to one another.
