Kroka Expeditions - COVID-19 Projects
Our Purpose
Kroka Expeditions is a non-profit wilderness expedition school based on a year-round, organic farm in Marlow, New Hampshire. We believe that consciousness and altruistic will can be brought forward through a living relationship with the natural world and by taking our places within the circle of community. We offer wilderness expedition camps in the summer months for children aged 8-19 ranging 1-4 weeks long. We have a fall and a spring semester program for students aged 16-20 that is a full semester expedition in the wilderness paired with experiential academic learning where students earn high school and college credits. We offer unique wilderness journeys for school groups; from day programs for our local schools, to 12-day long wilderness expeditions. Kroka also hosts a variety of community programs throughout the year that include adventure sport activities, crafting workshops, community workdays, a weekly homeschool program, and more. Today at Kroka, we are facing an unprecedented challenge in the face of the coronavirus. All of our staff are choosing to work without pay for the coming months because they believe in the mission of Kroka. We are prepared to serve our local community with food from our farm, firewood, and provide assistance to residents in need. We are grateful for all we do have in our organization and want to give as much as we can to our greater community in this time.
