Summary of Projects

The Kent Land Trust received a grant in 2009 to create Kent's first Community Garden, open to the public and designed for use by a diverse community, including seniors, school children, families, singles, renters and professionals, weekend or part-time residents, the public school cafeteria and the local food bank. Kent Land Trust is sponsoring Kent's Community Garden by lending it's centrally located agricultural land and organizing and implementing the garden program in its startup years.
