KCRS “the nieces” youth empowerment is an outreach program that empowers young females to step into leadership roles. The phases included in the program are the Safe space(support groups), Crown Her youth empowerment luncheons-conferences, mentoring and workshops. Our purpose is to assist females overcome and tackle the systemic inequalities. We empower them to live a healthier lifestyle mentally,financially, and physically to become economically self-sufficient.I am Kasandra Wilcox, a minority female who grew up in poverty. I come from a community that supported each other throughout lifes struggles. Coming from a close family of 10 with 30+ nieces and nephews, empowermening others is all I know. My passion has always been to assist people and give them the support I received.My background has been in a mixture of Finance departments including banking, accounts payable, claims disbursement and cost accounting for the past 18 years. In addition, Customer Service has been my servanthood for the past 27 years. I love to serve people and assist them in their growth. I established KCRS Youth Empowerment DBA, “the nieces” Y.E in 2023. I became a Community Social Entrepreneur with the sole purpose to help, guide and serve others. I pursed my passion to assist young females overcome and tackle the systemic inequalities. For the past 20 years I dedicated my time,resources and offered encouragement to underserved minorities whom seem to gravitate towards me.
