The purpose of this program is to provide access to appropriate, culturally competentcounselling and recovery services in order to aid trauma survivors in overcoming theirfears around physical and mental wellbeing; empowering them with real strategies formaking sustainable progress in overcoming the barriers and stumbling blocks in their lives.Multi-generational poverty for these families is not because women make poor choices or lack drive and dreams for a better lives and their children. Ithappens because the family has suffered unimaginable trauma and they are often left paralyzed with hopelessness.  They need women like us who have walked in their path and overcome to reach out to them and help them to heal so they may actively engage and participate in activities that can rehabilitate family relations and strengthen their capacity to improve their situation. We believe we recover and heal better together.
