Impact for Community Change
Our Purpose
The goal of our group is to develop brighter futures for disadvantaged individuals facing indigent educational, economic, social, and health outcomes. We believe that by doing so, we can create a more just, less extractive society that sees the inherent value in each human being. As Black women, and survivors of generational and interpersonal trauma, we understand the importance of shifting power to those most affected by injustice. Thus, in this project, we will move toward our overarching goal by educating and supporting survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence. A partnership of Impact for Community Change (IFCC) and the Mary Kaye Holmes School of Entrepreneurship, we will draw upon the expertise and experiences of educators in both entities to empower survivors in their healing journey. Ours is a community-led solution that is rooted in the lived experiences of leaders and participants alike.
