IFKA's mission is to empower and support the Somali community in Lewiston, Maine, particularly parents and youth. We address challenges like educational disparities, cultural preservation, transportation issues, and racial injustice. Through advocacy, support, community engagement, and amplifying community voices, IFKA strives to create equity and inclusivity. We use purpose, innovation, and experience to drive change, enabling community members to thrive.Our work emphasizes individual empowerment, emergency preparedness, and building community resilience and unity, fostering a welcoming environment for people to utilize their talents and thrive.
