Our Purpose

The mission and purpose of the Framingham Food Pantry is simple. We seek to provide healthy food and other required items to a needy Framingham population in a manner that provides dignity to our clients. Once each month, client families receive 1 to 3 bags of groceries depending on the size of the family. These bags contain staples such as cereal, milk, eggs, rice, pasta, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, jelly, beans, canned fruit and vegetables, canned soup, and frozen meats or fish that become available from the Greater Boston Food Bank. We also seek to meet needs of families with children by providing baby diapers and baby food, and of seniors by providing adult diapers. When we are able to secure grant funding, personal hygiene items are also provided to our clients. Finally, we seek to make the client experience enjoyable by greeting each person with a smile and by doing our best to meet their unique needs for food and other items. Almost all of our client families are from the town of Framingham.  We do have a few clients that come from surrounding communities. All clients must provide proof of residence in the Framingham area. The Framingham Food Pantry is located near the center of the town of Framingham, where people who are homeless or temporarily out of work often come to get financial help from town agencies. Many of these people come into the Food Pantry looking for immediate help for their families.
