HESPC - Homeless Education and Service Providers Committee
Our Purpose
The Boys & Girls Club has recently joined the Homeless Education Service Providers (HESP) which is a collaboration of service organization in the area to help identify and coordinate services for struggling families. This group works to identify students and families who are homeless in our community. The current number of homeless students is approximately 85-90, which represents 65 families. Of those 65, 42 are facing serious economic hardship. The remaining families are homeless living with friends or relatives, and 12 students are currently foster care. In addition, many families although not homeless are struggling with economic hardship. As of January 2019 520 families are registered and are currently receiving assistance from the Marshfield Food pantry.
