The Henniker Lions club is a volunteer organization representing the city of Henniker. One aspect of the Henniker Lions club is their participation and management of a volunteer community garden for--- years. The food produced is provided to the community food banks and soup kitchens and---in the regional area. This clubs long term interest in food security along with the positive mental health aspects of nuturing plants that provide food is one of the focuses of this club. One goal is our club would like to expand is the opportunity for citizens to grow their own food. Providing raised beds and information  and support on how to grow food in a raised bed are goals.Lions clubs are volunteer service clubs with several main causes, and the environment is one that is not given enough attention. Our goal is to lead a WD build in Henniker to show other Lions clubs that they too can do this project and make an important impact. We hope to inspire other Lions Clubs to follow suit.
