Hellas Condominiums is a local homeowners association with 12 homes that typically house young families who have just purchased their first home and often have small children. We are situated in a rural area that sees up to 500 homeless children per year (according to Shaw House, a local children's shelter that serves 5 regional counties). We are starting a community garden on our property to build our community, to give our families a way to be more self-sufficient, and we are dedicating one plot to produce food for local shelters and food banks. This donation plot will be maintained through the required volunteer hours of all members who have a plot in the garden.
