Across the United States, countless individuals experience sexual violence resulting in hospitalization. After so many hours of being subjected to an intrusive sexual assault examination, victims are often discharged from the hospital wearing uniform scrubs or hospital gowns due to their clothing being collected for evidence.​ Although a much needed step in the investigative process, this outcome can be further traumatizing to a person who's just experienced sexual violence.  The mission of Haven Box is to provide comfort boxes to survivors of sexual violence.Haven Box items are carefully and compassionately chosen to support the inherent dignity, self-care, and recovery of a person after experiencing sexual violence.We envision a world free of sexual violence and where resources like ours are no longer needed.Until that is accomplished, we will be fierce advocates, aiming to comfort and empower survivors while educating the community on the impacts and realities of sexual violence.
