Haulin’ With Purpose
Our Purpose
Haulin’ With Purpose grew from something I kept seeing through my work and in my own life: when families are going through hard times, one problem often creates several others. A family may finally find housing but have no furniture. A senior may need help clearing a home but cannot afford it. A parent may be working and still struggling to put enough food on the table.I also know what it feels like to need support during a difficult transition. After experiencing housing instability with my own children, I understand how quickly circumstances can change and how meaningful practical help can be.Through our hauling work, we also see perfectly usable furniture and household items being thrown away while people in the same community are asking for those very things. That disconnect inspired Haulin’ With Purpose. Our big-picture goal is to build a community-led network that turns resources that might otherwise be wasted into support for neighbors who need them. We want to recover usable furniture and household goods, develop partnerships to rescue surplus food, provide sponsored cleanouts for residents facing hardship, and connect families with practical resources.Ultimately, we want to reduce waste while creating a stronger, more connected community where people help one another through difficult transitions.
