Our Purpose

to create equal opportunity for all community members to grow organic vegetables, herbs & flowers. Healthy Food for ALL: 1. Create access to affordable, local, healthy & sustainable food sources for all Greenwich residents with an emphasis on Greenwich Housing Authority & low income residents. 2. Help combat obesity, high blood pressure & diet-related issues in adults & children. 3. Promote healthy living through gardening/garden education. Grow Locally: 1. Make it easy to grow healthy food for personal use. 2. To help stock the local food pantries. Strengthen Community: 1.Connect people, reduce isolation, create sense of place. 2. Offer recreational//therapeutic/educational opportunities for people of all ages. 3. Provide a catalyst for neighborhood/community development Protect the Environment: 1.Support responsible stewardship of our environment. Enhance bio-diversity, protect wildlife, encourage pollinators. 2. Make good use of open, green spaces. 3. Lower our carbon footprint
